At CommerceTel, we strive for excellence in every facet of our service platform, starting with our expertly trained and highly experienced staff. Recently, CommerceTel added its newest addition to the team- Greg Farrell.

 

Greg Farrell is Vice President of Marketing for CommerceTel. He has 20 years of experience in the wireless business having worked with McCaw Communications and AT&T Mobility in senior consumer and B2B marketing, advertising, research and strategy positions. He has worked in the largest markets in the United States having built multi-channel distribution in the New York market and was Vice President of Marketing and General Manager of the Los Angeles market for AT&T. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Boston College and has a Masters of Science Degree in Telecommunications Policy from George Washington University in Washington DC.

 

With Greg's wealth of experience and abundance of knowledge, we plan to take CommerceTel further than it's ever gone before.

Americans rank cell phones...

Within the last two years, Americans have changed their preference from landlines to their cell phones. Recently, the public has ranked cell phones the hardest to give up, followed by the internet and TV. Landlines, once ranking number one, now rank fourth.

With the advancing technological capabilities of cell phones, Americans are more cell phone savvy and are enjoying the multitude of benefits cell phones offer.

 

"The new survey found that 58 percent of cell phone users have sent or received text messages, an increase from 41 percent in April 2006. On a typical day, 31 percent of cell phone owners use text messaging and 15 percent... About 8 percent use the phone to play games and a similar percentage use it for e-mail."

  • 26% of those who saw an ad responded at least once by sending an SMS text-message. 9% say they have used click-to-call to respond to a mobile ad
  • 13% said they are open to mobile advertising if it improves the media and content currently available
  • 14% said they are already open to mobile advertising so long as it is relevant to their interests."
